San Diego Comic Con 2014

From July 24-27, 2014, San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) welcomed thousands of gamers, movie buffs, comic-book fans and television and movie stars. The event hosted 130,000 attendees, which is a huge upgrade from the 145 people who attended the convention in its first year back in 1970.

Comic-Con, which is officially billed as an event "celebrating the popular arts," draws a massive amount of revenue into San Diego—this year, an estimated $78.3 million in direct attendee spending and $177.8 million in total economic impact. Attendees received exclusive previews of huge upcoming films, opportunities to meet artists and stars and first looks at new and returning TV shows. The new series, “Gotham,” made its official public debut while HBO introduced a series of new characters for the upcoming season 5 of its hit series Game of Thrones at Comic-Con on Friday. As the leading taxi ad agency in the nation, Clear Vision Advertisements had over 400 cabs contracted to take over downtown San Diego and Gaslamp Quarters. We joined forces with HBO to flood the streets. Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones, True Blood and Leftovers were surrounded by images of their favorite series surrounding the convention.
